Is .8 enough?

Hello Weight Watchers Friends,

LAST WEEK - When Plateaus Strike

Plateaus are common and not necessarily undesirable. What creates plateaus and how to recognize that we are in one are very important things to learn. We learned those things in this meeting. Methods that will help us become plateau "busters" or "maintainers" are varied but many work because we know what is causing our plateau after a little deep research.

ROUTINE OF THE MONTH

Ask Yourself: Is this worth the PointsPlus Values? Keep asking yourself this question each meal and snack, and you will see the results on the scale that you are looking for. This week we will introduce a new routine.

CELEBRATIONS

We had some wonderful weight losses this past week. Spring is trying to come and we are going to be ready for it with these great numbers.

The 8:00 meeting lost 31 pounds. That's .58 pounds per person.  We also had lots of great awards!

The 9:30 meeting lost 11.8 pounds which was .51 pounds per person. We had one person reaching their 10% target and many other great awards!

Welcome to all of our new members. You will be losing weight to add to those totals soon too. We look forward to seeing you all again next week to join our lively groups.

SALES

There are no sales this week except for some specials that you may see marked in the meeting room on the individual packages. The packages that are individually marked are either discontinued or expiring in less than a month. Take advantage of those special prices to try some new goodies.

TRUE CONFESSIONS

In the meeting last week I shared that I gained a pound the week before I and actually got a round of applause. That's right, you gave me accolades for gaining weight. Although I was confused I completely understand. It's nice to know that the person leading your meetings is just as human as you are. I can assure you, I am just as human as all of you and make mistakes too. I am grateful that when I make these mistakes, Weight Watchers is there to help me correct them.

I corrected several of them this week. I still was not perfect but I was better and most weeks I feel that better is all I can ask of myself. I lost .8 pounds this week. Because of the mistake of eating too much at my 3rd and final Easter celebration I could have lost more but I am happy with my .8 loss. I was able to have my few indulgences, feel satisfied but feel healthy on the scale. Those less than one pound losses will continue to add up to full pounds and I will then be back to where I want to be.

I was asked last week by someone why I am still trying to lose weight. I am at my goal as a free lifetime member but I still miss that cushion that I had between my goal and my weight. I am trying to earn back that cushion and lose some of the cushion around my waist.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE

"When we make progress quickly, it feeds our emotions. Then, when there's a period of waiting or we hit a plateau, we find out how committed we really are and whether we're going to see things through to the finish or quit." -Joyce Meyer

THIS WEEK - Replay Your Day

Reflecting on the day's progress can reinforce behaviors that we want to see our of ourselves. Taking time to review what's important can keep us focused on those priorities. Great habits start from great thoughts. This week will discuss those great thought and how we can make them great habits too.
