I keep forgetting to post my emails!

I send out an email to my WW members once every couple of weeks or so and I keep forgetting to post them here. Here is the one I sent today. Sorry there is not much time to post more here these days.
Life is good though. Hope you are all well.

Hello Weight Watchers Friends,

LAST WEEK - Give Yourself a Break

Success is more likely when a little kindness is applied to the Plan. A little relief may be overdue from time to time. Being hard on yourself isn't an effective long-term motivator. We left last week's meeting with some positive messages to keep with us all week. Bring in some more positive messages this week to your meeting to share with us.

ROUTINE OF THE MONTH

Know how you're going to be active tomorrow. Are you setting a date with yourself to exercise? Keep your appointments and see the results.

SALES

This is the last week that you can take advantage of your Ace Your Summer Challenge rewards. If you earned all of your bravo stickers for August you can get the WW Food Scale or the Member Success Kit for $10 off. That's only $29.95 for 2 of our best WW tools. Let me know at the meeting if you want to know more about either of these products.

Sometimes simple is best. Just a few seasonings accentuate the natural flavors of sweet tomatoes and roasted green beans.

Ingredients

3 spray(s) olive oil cooking spray
4 cup(s) uncooked green snap beans, trimmed
2 cup(s) grape tomatoes, or cherry tomatoes, cut in half (or quartered, if large)
1/4 cup(s) basil, fresh, cut into ribbons, divided
2 tsp minced garlic, or less to taste
1/2 tsp table salt, or more to taste
1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground, or more to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450ºF. Coat a large roasting pan with cooking spray.
  • Place green beans in a single layer in prepared pan and coat with cooking spray. Roast until desired doneness, stirring once or twice, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of basil, garlic, salt and pepper; set aside.
  • When green beans are finished, remove from oven and spoon tomato mixture into pan; toss thoroughly. Serve hot, room temperature or chilled, topped with remaining 2 tablespoons of basil. Yields about 1 cup per serving.

Notes

  • This is the perfect side for a burger, grilled chicken or steak.

It's also delicious added to marinara sauce and then tossed with pasta and shredded cheese.

TRUE CONFESSIONS

After a maintenance summer I am ready for a losing fall. For the past 2 weeks I have had a loss at the scale and I am projecting a loss again this week.
I've had to make several changes in my life these past few weeks and I'm glad to see that they haven't caused a gain. Many times changes in my life seem to upset my rhythm and my plan takes a hiatus. This time the changes have made me want to stick to my plan even more.

Some of the changes have been pretty big. For the first time I put 2 of my children into traditional school! I have always homeschooled my children so this is a big change. That has changed my work schedule and home routines. Two of my other children are still staying home for school but they are being virtual schooled so for the first time in 10 years I am not homeschooling any children. I could let this get to me emotionally and eat to fill the absence of homeschooling in my life, but I've taken it to empower me. I feel great. This is my school year. This is the school year in which I will lose those last pounds I have been wrestling with for the past 3 years. I'm looking forward to great changes!

My true confessions are getting boring and old. Who would like to take this spot over for future emails? I would be happy to put your true confessions in this email. You could take it over for a month, two, three or more. You can play it by ear. When you feel your true confessions have run their course, we can look for someone else. Let me know by email or in the meeting room if you are interested in owning this blog spot for a while.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE

“Every person needs to take one day away.  A day in which one consciously separates the past from the future.  Jobs, family, employers, and friends can exist one day without any one of us, and if our egos permit us to confess, they could exist eternally in our absence.  Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for.  Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us.”

THIS WEEK - What's In, What's Out
Change can be invigorating! We can consciously decide what is dragging us down that we want to leave behind. Change doesn't have to be scary - it can be the very thing we need to get off of a plateau. Be at your meeting this week to discover how change can work for you.

Is .8 enough?

Hello Weight Watchers Friends,

LAST WEEK - When Plateaus Strike

Plateaus are common and not necessarily undesirable. What creates plateaus and how to recognize that we are in one are very important things to learn. We learned those things in this meeting. Methods that will help us become plateau "busters" or "maintainers" are varied but many work because we know what is causing our plateau after a little deep research.

ROUTINE OF THE MONTH

Ask Yourself: Is this worth the PointsPlus Values? Keep asking yourself this question each meal and snack, and you will see the results on the scale that you are looking for. This week we will introduce a new routine.

CELEBRATIONS

We had some wonderful weight losses this past week. Spring is trying to come and we are going to be ready for it with these great numbers.

The 8:00 meeting lost 31 pounds. That's .58 pounds per person.  We also had lots of great awards!

The 9:30 meeting lost 11.8 pounds which was .51 pounds per person. We had one person reaching their 10% target and many other great awards!

Welcome to all of our new members. You will be losing weight to add to those totals soon too. We look forward to seeing you all again next week to join our lively groups.

SALES

There are no sales this week except for some specials that you may see marked in the meeting room on the individual packages. The packages that are individually marked are either discontinued or expiring in less than a month. Take advantage of those special prices to try some new goodies.

TRUE CONFESSIONS

In the meeting last week I shared that I gained a pound the week before I and actually got a round of applause. That's right, you gave me accolades for gaining weight. Although I was confused I completely understand. It's nice to know that the person leading your meetings is just as human as you are. I can assure you, I am just as human as all of you and make mistakes too. I am grateful that when I make these mistakes, Weight Watchers is there to help me correct them.

I corrected several of them this week. I still was not perfect but I was better and most weeks I feel that better is all I can ask of myself. I lost .8 pounds this week. Because of the mistake of eating too much at my 3rd and final Easter celebration I could have lost more but I am happy with my .8 loss. I was able to have my few indulgences, feel satisfied but feel healthy on the scale. Those less than one pound losses will continue to add up to full pounds and I will then be back to where I want to be.

I was asked last week by someone why I am still trying to lose weight. I am at my goal as a free lifetime member but I still miss that cushion that I had between my goal and my weight. I am trying to earn back that cushion and lose some of the cushion around my waist.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE

"When we make progress quickly, it feeds our emotions. Then, when there's a period of waiting or we hit a plateau, we find out how committed we really are and whether we're going to see things through to the finish or quit." -Joyce Meyer

THIS WEEK - Replay Your Day

Reflecting on the day's progress can reinforce behaviors that we want to see our of ourselves. Taking time to review what's important can keep us focused on those priorities. Great habits start from great thoughts. This week will discuss those great thought and how we can make them great habits too.
